Wyvern

Overview

BART integrates with Wyvern's Safety Management System by allowing you to send pilot roster and aircraft data to Wyvern, eliminating the need for manual data entry. Pilot roster data includes pilot hours, check dates, and type ratings. Aircraft information includes aircraft hours and check dates.

Setup

  1. Get an API username and password from Wyvern:
    1. In Wyvern's Safety Management System, from the ‘Admin Tools’ dropdown, select ‘API Configuration’. Note that this can only be done by an Admin user.

    2. On the API Configuration Page, if there is no Sync User already active, click on the “Create User” option.

    3. The system will automatically generate the username and password. These credentials will not be displayed again. Wyvern recommends that you click the “Copy” link to copy and paste the credentials to BART.

    4. If there is a user listed, the user can be reset and a pop-up will display with fresh credentials.

    5. In case of any problems when creating or resetting the API Sync User, please contact the Wyvern Support team at support@wyvernltd.com.

  2. Enter credentials in BART:
    1. Navigate to Gear Icon > All Settings > Integrations > Safety Management Systems (SMS) > Wyvern.
    2. Enter username and password from step 1 in Setup (and click on "Save").

  3. Configure Wyvern Aircraft Types in BART:
    1. Navigate to Schedules/Flight Logs > Aircraft > All Aircraft Types > (Find each Aircraft Type you want to send data to Wyvern for) > Edit. The relevant section is Cross-Reference > Wyvern Type. The Wyvern Type for each Aircraft Type you want to send must match the Type in Wyvern's Safety Management System.

  4. Configure Aircraft to be posted to Wyvern:
    1. Ensure the aircraft already exists in Wyvern's Safety Management System.
    2. Navigate to Schedules/Flight Logs > Aircraft > All Aircraft > (Find each Aircraft Type you want to send data to Wyvern for)  > Edit.
    3. Navigate to the Wyvern tab. To enable an Aircraft to be posted to Wyvern, check the “Post to Wyvern” checkbox in the General section. All other fields on this tab are optional and will be sent to Wyvern if populated.

    4. Navigate to the General tab. The Registration and BART Code fields in the Details section are mandatory. Note that Registration should match the Wyvern Registration.
    5. Navigate to the Other tab. The Aircraft Serial Number field in the Serial Numbers section is mandatory. Note that the Aircraft Serial Number should match the Serial Number in Wyvern.

    6. Navigate to the Times tab. The Calculated Values which are accumulated from Flight Logs are sent to Wyvern. This tab is useful when correcting discrepancies with existing information in Wyvern.
    7. Apart from the fields mentioned above, BART sends other optional fields to Wyvern.

  5. Configure Crew to be posted to Wyvern:
    1. Ensure the crew member already exists in Wyvern's Safety Management System.
    2. Navigate to Schedules/Flight Logs > Crew > All Crew > (Find each Crew member you want to send data to Wyvern for) > Edit.
    3. Navigate to the Other tab. To enable a crew member to be posted to Wyvern, check the “Post to Wyvern” checkbox in the Integrations and Settings section.

    4. In the Other tab, the License Number field in the Pilot License section is mandatory. Note that the License Number should match the Wyvern Certificate Number.
    5. Navigate to the Times tab. Values accumulated from Flight Logs are sent to Wyvern. This tab is useful when correcting discrepancies with existing information in Wyvern.
    6. Note that for newly hired crew, hours for the untracked last 90/365 days are to be added to Wyvern's Safety Management System. Wyvern adds these to the hours sent by BART until the crew member exceeds the date range from date of hire. Please contact the Wyvern Support team at support@wyvernltd.com for any queries about this.

    7. Apart from the fields mentioned above, BART sends other optional fields to Wyvern.

Posting Aircraft to Wyvern

  1. Navigate to Schedules > Aircraft > Send Aircraft Information to Wyvern.
  2. All aircraft where the “Post to Wyvern“ checkbox was checked will be listed here. Post all or individual aircraft information by using the checkboxes on the right and clicking the “Send to Wyvern” button.

  3. Errors after sending information may require actions in Wyvern's Safety Management System or BART. Since Wyvern does not allow BART to send a reduction in previously reported aircraft times, you might have to adjust times in Wyvern or wait to send till BART catches up. For other fields, you are able to edit an aircraft from this page by clicking on the registration number on the left.

Posting Crew to Wyvern

  1. Navigate to Schedules > Crew > Send Crew Information to Wyvern
  2. All crew where the “Post to Wyvern“ checkbox was checked will be listed here. Post all or individual crew information by using the checkboxes on the right and clicking the “Send to Wyvern” button.

  3. Errors after sending information may require actions in Wyvern's Safety Management System or BART. Since Wyvern does not allow BART to send a reduction in previously reported crew times, you might have to adjust times in Wyvern or wait to send till BART catches up. For other fields, you are able to edit a particular crew member from this page by clicking on the name on the left.

Troubleshooting

  1. On the aircraft and crew posting screens, you can use the “View Summary” button to see the data being posted to Wyvern. This is to help in identifying the error or warning from Wyvern, if any.
  2. Note that deleting Flight Logs after sending information to Wyvern will result in time discrepancies.  Wyvern does not support a reduction in previously reported crew and aircraft times and you may need to contact Wyvern support to resolve the mismatch in hours as a result of a flight log deletion.
  3. Note that BART only posts aircraft and crew information to Wyvern. It does not fetch any data from Wyvern.
