Satcom Direct

Overview

BART's integration with Satcom Direct allows you to receive OOOI and fuel reports from FlightDeck Freedom via the CoPilot app. Enabling this integration cuts down the amount of hand entering your pilots need to do for flight logs. 

Setup

  1. Reach out to Satcom Direct for a Client ID and Client Secret. You will need these to enable the integration in BART.
  2. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret in BART:
    1. Navigate to Gear Icon > All Settings > Integrations > Other > Satcom Direct.

    2. Paste the Client ID and Client Secret. Click on Save.

  3. Setup Aircraft:
    1. In BART, navigate to Schedules/Flight Logs > Aircraft > All Aircraft.
    2. Edit the aircraft you want to receive Satcom Direct OOOI reports for. Navigate to Other > Satcom Direct OOOI Reports.
    3. Select the appropriate Datalink Unit from the drop down. Click on Save.

    4. Note that each aircraft must be enabled individually. Repeat the 2 steps above for every aircraft you want to enable to receive OOOI reports from Satcom Direct.

Receiving OOOI reports in CoPilot

  1. Once the aircraft is setup, you will start receiving Satcom Direct OOOI reports within individual flight logs in CoPilot.
  2. Pilots will be presented with a button to Apply Satcom Reports, which will apply the received OOOI and fuel numbers to the flight log. Note that data fields received will vary based on the Datalink unit.
