Flight Tax Systems

Flight Tax Systems

Overview

Flight Tax Systems (FTS) is an automated tax reporting tool that enables you to:
  1. maximize tax benefits and deductibility of business aircraft,
  2. minimize tax liabilities and unnecessary aircraft expenses and
  3. navigate complex tax regulations and compliance issues and defend your aircraft on audit.
BART's integration with FTS saves you time and reduces manual entry errors by giving you the ability to import flight information from your BART to your FTS account. The integration builds upon and improves the earlier process of having to export a Flight Log report from BART and then importing it to FTS.

Setup

  1. In BART, Navigate to Gear Icon > All Settings > Integrations > Accounting & Tax > Flight Tax Systems.

  2. Enable the integration by allowing Flight Tax Systems to access Flight Logs and Passenger information. Click the button to save and send an email to Flight Tax Systems with setup details.

  3. Flight Tax Systems will contact you to finalize the setup.

Mapping fields in BART and FTS

  1. In order to match, passenger names need to be the same in BART and FTS. Please use the 'Data Import Name' field in FTS for any variations in passenger name spellings in BART.
  2. Leg type names, which can be found at Schedules/Flight Logs > Trips/Flight Logs > All Leg Types > Name in BART, need to match applicable 'Flight Categories' in FTS.
  3. The 'Charge this Pax' field, which can be found at Flight Logs > (Select a Flight) > Pax > (Edit) > Charge in BART, maps to the 'Host'  field in FTS.

  4. The 'Leg Notes' field, which can be found at Flight Logs > (Select a Flight) > Other > Leg Notes in BART, maps to the 'Purpose of Leg'  field in FTS.

Importing flight information in FTS

  1. Navigate to System Admin > Data Import Tool and follow the listed steps. Please feel free to contact FTS or BART support in case of any questions or issues.
